Your family's data is yours. Here's exactly how we handle it.
Effective Date: July 7, 2026

ParentingAI ("ParentingAI," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by ParentingAI LLC, a Delaware limited liability company. This Privacy Policy explains what information the ParentingAI mobile application and website (together, the "Service") collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We built ParentingAI to be your personal parenting advisor, and we take the privacy of your family seriously.
Your family's data is never sold, never used for advertising, and never used to train AI models. Personalization happens inside your account only.
To provide personalized, age-appropriate guidance, we collect information you choose to give us:
If you use the trackers, we store the entries you log so we can show trends and generate pediatrician-ready reports. These may include:
Some of this is health-related information about you or your child. We treat it with additional care — see Section 5, Health Data.
Personalization vs. training — an important distinction. "Personalization" means your data is used inside your own account to tailor your experience. It does not mean your data is used to train or fine-tune AI models. We do not use your content to train AI models, and our AI providers are contractually prohibited from doing so (see Section 3).
ParentingAI uses artificial intelligence to generate its responses. To do this, your messages and relevant context are sent to third-party AI providers that operate the underlying large language models:
These providers process your messages in real time to return a response. Under our data-processing and API agreements, they do not use your content to train their models and do not retain it for their own purposes beyond what is needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. We periodically verify this against each provider's current API and enterprise terms. You are always interacting with an AI system, not a human.
Your data is stored using Supabase, our cloud database and backend provider, on servers located in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We restrict access to your data, apply industry-standard safeguards, and review our security practices regularly. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your information.
ParentingAI does not currently use third-party analytics providers or advertising SDKs.
Some information you enter — such as symptoms, medications, growth measurements, and feeding or sleep logs — may qualify as "consumer health data" under certain laws. We want to be clear about how we treat it:
Depending on where you live, you may have specific rights over this information, including under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), the Washington My Health My Data Act, and the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). These can include the right to access, correct, delete, and — where applicable — withdraw consent to the processing of your health data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@parentingai.co.
ParentingAI is not a covered entity or business associate under HIPAA, and the Service is not a medical or diagnostic tool.
You can access, export, correct, or delete your data at any time from within the app or by contacting us. When you request account deletion, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain limited information to comply with law.
Depending on your state — including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and others — you may have the right to know what data we collect, to delete it, to correct it, to obtain a portable copy, and to opt out of "sales" or targeted advertising. We do not sell your personal information and do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We honor these rights for every user regardless of state. To exercise them, email hello@parentingai.co. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
If you are in the EEA or UK, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Our legal bases for processing are performance of our contract with you, your consent, and our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service.
ParentingAI is designed for parents, guardians, and caregivers — not for direct use by children. We collect information about children only as provided by their parent or guardian, for the sole purpose of delivering age-appropriate guidance. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create accounts, and we comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete content or your account, we remove it within 30 days, subject to limited legal retention obligations and secure backup cycles.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
Questions about your privacy, or want to exercise a right? Email us at hello@parentingai.co. We aim to respond within 30 days, or sooner where required by law.
